Growth Center
The Growth Center reads your referral figures and turns them into a short list of suggestions with the evidence attached. It is built but not switched on for accounts at the moment — this article describes what it does when it is on.
- Who
- Owners and admins running the referral programme
- Plan
- All plans
- Role
- Any role can read it; two of the feedback options need Owner or Admin
Before you start
- The Growth Center switched on for your account
- A referral link, which needs the referral programme switched on
The Growth Center appears in the dashboard menu as Growth. Its subtitle states its scope: “What your referral programme is doing, and what the data suggests you could try next.” It is a reporting and suggestion surface for one thing only — the referral programme. It says nothing about your WhatsApp assistant, your conversations or your plan usage; those live on the reports screen, in What each report measures.
How it works
Every figure and every suggestion comes from fixed rules applied to your own referral records. A background pass recalculates them roughly once an hour, and the page shows when it last ran, as Calculated followed by a time. Nothing is predicted and nothing is modelled.
The card at the top of the page can be written by AI, marked AI-generated from your data. The AI never computes anything: it rephrases the figures the engine already produced. If it returns a number the engine did not supply, or anything else that fails the checks, the whole text is discarded and fixed wording is shown instead — headed Your referral programme at a glance, with your visit, sign-up and qualified counts filled in. The AI phrasing is also not switched on at the moment, so the fixed wording is what the page shows.
What is on the page
- The summary card described above.
- Last 30 days — four figures, the calculation time, and a row of chips headed How to read these numbers.
- Opportunities — the suggestions you have not answered yet.
- Referral funnel — visits, sign-ups, paying referrals and qualified referrals as bars.
- This period against the last — a two-row comparison table.
- Actions you have taken — the suggestions you accepted or completed, with what happened afterwards.
The numbers it reports
| Figure | What it counts | Window |
|---|---|---|
| Link visits | Times your referral link was opened. The hint says it plainly: landings on your link, not unique people. | Last 30 days |
| Sign-ups | Businesses that opened an account through your link. | Last 30 days |
| Qualified referrals | Referrals that passed the qualification checks. | All time |
| Rewards in progress | Months you have earned that have not been applied to an invoice yet. | All time |
| Paying referrals | Referred businesses that have started paying. Shown in the funnel only, and marked provisional — a refund can move a referral back out of the row. | Last 30 days |
The chips under the figures carry the honesty labels that belong to the metrics actually on screen, such as Visits count landings on the link, not unique people., Provisional: a refund can change this figure later., Reward statuses are recalculated hourly, so this can lag by up to an hour. and Visit history is kept for a limited period, so older windows undercount.
The suggestions
Each suggestion is a card with a title, a short explanation, a Confidence label (Strong signal, Moderate signal, Early signal or Not enough data yet), a Priority label (Critical, High, Medium or Low), and a Show the evidence disclosure that lists the exact metrics, values and windows the rule used. Seven rules can produce a suggestion for a customer account.
| Suggestion | Appears when |
|---|---|
| Your referral link has not been used yet | Your link has existed for 7 days or more with no visits, no sign-ups and no qualified referrals at all. |
| One qualified referral from the next level | You are exactly one qualified referral short of the next ambassador level. |
| Plenty of visits, few sign-ups | At least 30 visits in the last 30 days, and fewer than 3% of them became sign-ups. |
| Sign-ups are not turning into paying customers | At least 5 sign-ups in the last 30 days, and fewer than 30% of them started paying. |
| Rewards have been in progress for a while | 2 or more rewards are still in progress and the oldest has been waiting more than 21 days. |
| One sharing channel is doing most of the work | At least 5 qualified referrals carry a recorded sharing channel, and 60% or more of them came through one channel. |
| Link visits have dropped against the previous period | The previous 30-day window had at least 30 visits, and the current window is at most half of it. |
When no rule fires, the section shows Nothing to suggest right now with the explanation that suggestions appear when your numbers give something solid to point at. A suggestion expires on its own after 30 days if you never answer it.
What stays silent, and why
- The sharing-channel suggestion, until at least 5 qualified referrals carry a recorded channel. Only shares made from the buttons in the Referral Center record one, and referrals from before that recording started are left out of the calculation entirely.
- The sign-ups comparison. The second row of This period against the last always reads Not kept per period, because no previous-period sign-up figure is stored. Only visits have a real comparison, and when the previous window had no visits at all the row reads No comparison rather than inventing a percentage.
- Churn and retention. Neither is recorded anywhere in OMAI, so no figure and no rule exists for them.
- Chargebacks. Not recorded, so never reported.
- Landing-page conversion. What visitors do on the invitation page is measured in the browser and never stored, so no suggestion can use it.
- Return on a promotion. The cost side is an estimate of forgone revenue; the value side is not computed at all, so the page does not claim a return.
What you can do with a suggestion
Step 1 Read the card, and open Show the evidence to see the figures behind it.
You should see: A small table of metrics with their values, the window each covers, and the sample size where one applies.
Step 2 Use the button on the card to go to the screen it points at, such as Open the Referral Centre or See your rewards.
- A card can only link to one of a fixed list of dashboard screens, chosen when the suggestion is written. It cannot point anywhere else, and a link meant for a different kind of account is simply not shown.
You should see: The relevant dashboard screen opens.
Step 3 Choose I’ll do this if you intend to act on it.
You should see: The card moves to Actions you have taken, and the current values of the metrics behind it are frozen as a baseline. The page confirms: “Noted — we will measure what happens over the next few weeks.”
Step 4 Choose Not now if it is not useful.
You should see: It is dismissed, and it will not come back unless the numbers behind it change materially.
Step 5 Choose Mark as done once you have finished acting on it.
You should see: The card is marked completed and keeps its measurement.
Step 6 Optionally open the feedback disclosure and pick one of Helpful, Not relevant, Already done, The numbers look wrong, Not enough detail, Don’t suggest this or Remind me later.
- Don’t suggest this and The numbers look wrong need an Owner or Admin. The first stops that rule for your account; the second opens an investigation on our side.
About three weeks after you accept a suggestion the same metrics are read again and compared with the frozen baseline. The verdict on the card is one of: the measured metric improved, no clear change, declined, the metrics moved in different directions, too little data to say either way, or it could not be measured. Until then the card reads Still measuring — the result appears once the measurement window closes. The wording that accompanies every verdict is deliberate: it describes what the numbers did, and notes that other factors may also have contributed.
Who can use it
Reading the Growth Center, and accepting, dismissing or completing a suggestion, is open to every role — Owner, Admin, Agent and Viewer. Two of the seven feedback options are restricted to Owner and Admin, because they change behaviour beyond the one card. Roles are explained in Roles and permissions.
The menu has no Growth item. Did I lose access?
No. The Growth Center is not switched on for accounts at the moment, so the menu item is hidden for everybody and its address redirects to the Overview.
Will the suggestions ever change something on their own?
No. Every suggestion is advice with its evidence attached. Accepting one records your intention and starts a measurement; it does not change a setting, send a message or alter your rewards.
A suggestion says something I know to be wrong. What do I do?
Open the feedback disclosure and choose The numbers look wrong, which opens an investigation on our side, or Don’t suggest this to stop that rule for your account. Both need an Owner or Admin.
Why do the visit numbers here differ from what I counted myself?
Visits count openings of the link, not unique people, and visit history is kept only for a limited period, so a long window undercounts. Both caveats are printed on the page as chips.
