Your 14-day trial
Every new OMAI account starts on a 14-day trial with Starter terms and no card. Here is what it includes, what happens on day 14, and what you have to do to keep the assistant answering.

Before you start
- An OMAI account — the trial starts with it, nothing to switch on
Every organization created on OMAI starts on a 14-day trial. It begins the moment the account is created, it needs no card, and it gives you the whole product — including an assistant that answers real customers on WhatsApp.
How the trial starts
The trial is created together with your organization during sign-up. There is no trial button and no code to enter. Open Billing in the dashboard and the Subscription status tile shows the badge Trial and the line Trial ends on with your end date — 14 days from the day you signed up.
What the trial includes
| What | During the trial |
|---|---|
| Length | 14 days from sign-up |
| AI answers | 1,250 |
| Team members | 2 |
| Knowledge storage | 125 MB |
| Connected WhatsApp numbers | 1 |
| Payment card | Not required and not requested |
Nothing in the product is held back during the trial. You can connect WhatsApp, build the knowledge base, invite a colleague, take conversations over by hand, use templates, read the analytics and export your data. The usage meter counts AI answers exactly as it does on a paid plan — see what counts as an AI answer.
Is a card required?
No. Nothing in sign-up asks for payment details, no card is stored during the trial, and the trial never turns itself into a charge. When the 14 days are over, OMAI does not charge anything — it stops the assistant instead. Paying is a deliberate step you take on the billing page.
The assistant answers during the trial
The assistant starts answering as soon as a WhatsApp number is connected. There is no separate “go live” switch: OMAI finishes the setup for you and the Your assistant card on the dashboard moves to Live by itself. So finish the knowledge base before you connect the number, or connect a number that customers do not yet have — and if you connect too early, Pause the assistant stops it again in one click. See connecting your number.
What happens at the end
The trial ends at the exact time it was due to end, with no grace period. From that moment the assistant stops answering customers. A background sweep then moves the subscription to the Unpaid status, and the dashboard shows Your free trial has ended with a Choose a plan button.
- Stops: the assistant no longer replies to customers on WhatsApp, and the test simulator stops too.
- Continues: customer messages still arrive on your number and are stored in the inbox — nothing is dropped while you decide.
- Stays: your organization, conversations, knowledge base, templates, team and settings are all kept, exactly as you left them.
- Never happens: no automatic charge, and no deletion of your data because a trial lapsed.
Keep the assistant answering
Step 1 Open Billing in the dashboard sidebar and scroll to Available plans.
- Only an Owner or an Admin can complete a purchase.
You should see: The plan cards show the monthly price, the AI answers per month, the knowledge base size and the seats.
Step 2 Choose Switch to this plan on the plan you want.
You should see: The Almost there page opens with the amount to be charged and the billing details to confirm.
Step 3 Fill in Full name and Mobile number, tick the confirmation checkboxes, then choose Continue to secure payment.
- Paying for a plan walks through the whole payment page.
You should see: The secure payment page opens. Fill in Email for invoices (optional) first if the invoice should go to a particular address, such as your bookkeeper’s.
Step 4 Complete the payment.
- Conversations that were handed to a person while the assistant was stopped stay with your team until you resume them — see pausing and resuming the assistant.
You should see: You return to a confirmation page. Once the payment is confirmed, the subscription becomes Active and the assistant answers new customer messages again.
You do not have to do this before the trial ends. Choosing a plan after the end works the same way and brings the assistant back; the only cost of waiting is the time your assistant was silent.
End the trial early
If you want the assistant to stop before day 14 — for example while you rework the knowledge base — the billing page has an End your free trial card while the trial is running.
Step 1 Open Billing and find the End your free trial card.
You should see: The card explains that your organization, conversations and knowledge base are kept.
Step 2 Choose End trial and confirm.
- To delete your data instead, use Settings → Account & privacy — see deleting your account.
You should see: The assistant stops answering immediately, and the billing page shows Your trial has ended. Nothing is deleted and nothing is charged.
Can the trial be extended?
Not from the dashboard. The 14 days come from the plan catalog and there is no extension control. If you need more time, write to us.
I started a trial, paid nothing, and came back a month later. Is my data still there?
Yes. An expired trial stops the assistant and nothing else. Your conversations, knowledge base and settings are waiting; choose a plan and the assistant resumes.
Do I get a second trial if I create another organization?
Every organization is created with its own 14-day Starter trial, but that is a new workspace — it does not carry over your knowledge base, conversations or connected number.
Will I be charged automatically when the trial ends?
No. No card is held during the trial, and a trial is never converted into a charge. Payment only happens when you choose a plan and complete the payment page yourself.
