Services and prices
Your service list is the only structured place to keep prices the assistant is allowed to quote. This page covers every field, where a service has to be added for it to count, what reaches the assistant, and the pitfalls that produce a wrong quote.

A service is a named thing you sell, with an optional price and duration. It is the most valuable kind of business knowledge you can give the assistant, because a price kept in a validated field can be quoted exactly — while a price buried in a brochure has to be found in running text.
Services appear in two places in the product: the Services step of the setup wizard, and the Services card on the Settings screen. They both write to the same list, but they do not behave the same way, and the difference decides whether the assistant ever sees the service.
Adding a service
Step 1 Open Assistant Settings and press Setup wizard in the top right, then choose the Services step.
You should see: The step shows your current services and a small form under them.
Step 2 Fill in Service name and, if you want the assistant to be able to quote it, Price (₪).
- A star in a label means the field is required — the service name is the only required field.
Step 3 Press Add service.
You should see: A Saved. toast appears and the service joins the list above the form.
Step 4 Repeat for every service you want quoted, then open Knowledge Base and press Sync details from settings.
You should see: A Services source appears in the list with a Ready badge and a chunk count that matches the number of services you added.
Every field
The Settings card carries the full set of fields. The wizard step is a two-field shortcut: Service name and Price.
- Service name *TextRequired
- What the service is called. This is the phrase customers will use when they ask about it, so write it the way they say it, not the way it appears on an invoice.
Default:
—·Required. Up to 160 characters. - Duration (minutes)Number
- How long the service takes. When set, it is written into the assistant’s knowledge as a line of its own, so “how long does it take?” can be answered.
Default:
—·Optional. Whole minutes, 0 or more. - Price (₪)Number
- The price the assistant may quote. Leave it empty when a price genuinely depends on the case — a missing price is better than a wrong one.
Default:
—·Optional. 0 or more, up to two decimals. The currency symbol in the label follows your account’s country. - Maximum price (₪, optional)Number
- The upper end of a price range. It is shown in your own list as “120–250 ILS”, but it is not written into the assistant’s knowledge — the assistant only ever sees the lower number.
Default:
—·Optional. 0 or more, up to two decimals. - DescriptionText area
- A sentence about what the service includes. It travels with the name and price as one unit, so it is a good place to put the condition attached to the price.
Default:
—·Optional. Up to 2,000 characters.
Active and inactive services
Every service carries an active flag, and it decides three things: whether the service is compiled into knowledge when you sync, whether it counts towards the setup checks, and whether it appears as a suggested test question in the simulator.
- Services added in the wizard’s Services step are active.
- Services added on the Settings screen are stored as inactive.
- Deleting a service makes it inactive and removes it from both lists.
- There is no on/off control in the product — the flag is set when the service is created and never changes afterwards.
What the assistant does with a price
Syncing turns each active service into exactly one piece of knowledge, written as labelled lines. A four-line service looks like this in the index:
Service: Deep tissue massage
Description: 60 minutes, includes a short consultation
Price: 320.00 ILS
Duration: 60 minutesThat block is never split, so the price can never be separated from the name it belongs to — this is the whole reason prices belong in the service list rather than in a document. The lines are written in your Business content language, and the currency is the three-letter code for your account’s country: ILS for an Israeli business, EUR in the eurozone, USD everywhere else. You never choose it per service.
At answer time the assistant searches your knowledge, keeps the closest pieces, and is instructed to answer from them and never to invent prices, availability or service details. A service that was never synced is simply not there to be found.
Changing or removing a service
There is no edit form for a saved service. To change a price you delete the service and add it again, then sync.
Step 1 Press Delete on the service, and confirm in the Delete this item? dialog.
You should see: The row disappears from the list.
Step 2 Add the service again with the corrected details.
Step 3 Open Knowledge Base and press Sync details from settings.
You should see: The Services source is rebuilt from the services that exist right now, and its chunk count changes to match.
What goes wrong
| What you did | What the customer gets | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Changed a price and did not sync | The old price, quoted with confidence | Press Sync details from settings after every edit |
| Added the service on the Settings screen | No price at all — the assistant has nothing to find | Add it again in the wizard’s Services step, then sync |
| Entered a price range | Only the lower number, with no hint that it is a range | Put the range in the Description, for example “120–250 depending on length” |
| Named a service “Package A” | A price the customer cannot match to anything they asked about | Rename it to the words customers use, delete the old row and sync |
| Priced a service that really varies | A number quoted as if it were fixed | Leave the price empty and explain the variables in the Description |
How many services can I add?
The plan’s knowledge allowance measures uploaded files, and a service is not a file — so services are not measured against it. Add as many as you genuinely sell; each one becomes one searchable piece.
Can I show different prices to different customers?
No. There is one service list per business and the assistant answers from it for everyone.
Does the assistant take bookings for a service?
No. It can state what a service costs and how long it takes, and it hands the conversation to your team when the customer asks for a person. Booking happens in your own calendar.
How do I check that a price is really being found?
Ask for it in Retrieval test on the Knowledge Base screen, or in the test simulator on Assistant Settings. Both are covered in Testing what the assistant knows.
