Which countries and number types OMAI sells, what each one costs per month, and what a country’s regulator wants before a number can go live. Includes what a regulatory bundle is and why it adds days to the process.

The list of countries you can buy a number in is a catalog OMAI maintains, one entry per country and number type. Each entry carries a price, a number type and a regulatory level. The wizard shows you exactly the entries that are on sale at the moment you open it, so the country list is short and honest rather than aspirational.
What is on sale
Open Dashboard → WhatsApp Connection and choose Choose your number. The first step, Country, lists every country with at least one offer, each showing a flag, the country name, a from-price and a badge for its regulatory requirement. A search box filters the list by country name or two-letter country code.

Number types
A country can offer one or two types. Both behave identically on WhatsApp — the same inbox, the same assistant, the same limits. The difference is the impression the number leaves on a customer, and the price.

The dialling-prefix hints above are shown only for Israel. For every other country the wizard shows the shorter description without prefixes, because the numbering plan differs per country.
Regulatory requirements
Some countries let a carrier hand out a number immediately. Others require the buyer to be on file with a local address, or with registered business documents, before the number may be used. The catalog records which of the three levels applies, and the wizard shows it as a badge on the country and adds a Business details step when it is needed.

What a regulatory bundle is
A bundle is the package a carrier submits to a country’s telecom regulator on your behalf: who the end user is, what address they are at, and which supporting documents prove it. It is created once per country and number type for your organization, submitted for review, and reused for every number you buy in that country afterwards. That is why the wait happens once and not on every purchase.
The delay is entirely on the regulator’s side. Once you submit, the wizard shows Your details are in review with a Check status button, and you can leave the page — the result appears there when it arrives. If it comes back rejected, the wizard shows The submission wasn’t approved and an Edit and resubmit button, and the usual cause is a business name or registration number that does not match the official registration exactly.

Which exact numbers you can choose from
Prices are per country and type, but the individual numbers come from the carrier’s live stock. On the Pick a number step OMAI asks the carrier for candidates and shows up to 10, each with the city or region it belongs to. Numbers that cannot receive a voice call are filtered out, because the WhatsApp verification code arrives as a spoken call — so a shorter list than 10 is normal.
Stock is shared with everyone else buying from the same carrier. If the list is empty, Check again in a moment or go back and try the other number type. If someone buys your pick between choosing it and paying, the wizard tells you That number was just taken, returns you to a fresh list and carries your payment over.
How the price behaves
- The price shown on the country, type and review steps is the amount charged for the first month, and the amount billed monthly afterwards.
- The price is frozen at purchase. Changing the catalog price later does not reprice numbers people already rent.
- If the price changes between the moment the wizard loaded and the moment you pay, the purchase is refused with a message about the updated price. Choose Try again — the page reloads the current price and you can confirm the new one.
- Meta’s own messaging fees are billed by Meta, separately from the number price and from your plan.
Can I ask for a specific number, like one ending in 1000?
No. You choose from the candidates the carrier currently has in stock. You can refresh the list, but you cannot request a pattern.
Does “Pick for me” choose a better number?
No. It selects the first number in the list you are already looking at and moves you on. It saves a click, nothing more.
Do I have to submit business details again for a second number in the same country?
No. Approval is stored per country and number type for your organization, and the wizard shows the Instant setup badge with a note that your details are already approved.
Why is a mobile-style number more expensive than a landline-style one?
The carrier charges more for mobile ranges. The catalog price reflects what the line costs plus OMAI’s margin, and both are set per country and type.
